Abstract :
A novel and simple approach for the design of distributed amplifiers is presented. The method is based on fitting the parameters of distributed amplifier to those of predesigned low pass filter. Analytical expressions are derived to show the performance of the new distributed amplifier structure. It is shown that using this method, characteristics of the distributed amplifiers can be improved. Using the proposed method a few distributed amplifiers are designed and excellent agreements between the analytical and simulated results are obtained
