Abstract :
This paper proposed an improved dimmable electronic ballast with T-type resonant inverter at very high frequency. Making the ballast working above the highest frequency of the acoustic arc resonance is a good method to avoid the acoustic resonance of HID lamps. The parameters designing of the T-type resonant inverter guarantees the success in the HID lamps performance. And it is more important for working at very high frequency. Its validity is verified by experimental results
