Abstract
Matrix converter is a hot spot in the field of power conversion owing to its importance in theory and applications. However, due to the lack of intermediate energy storage elements, the output voltages are easily influenced by the disturbances of the system. Many efforts have been made to cope with this problem to maintain the output sinusoidal, but the implementations of these methods are still the gaps that prevent the matrix converter from commercial applications. To this end, a novel adaptive fuzzy controller is proposed in this paper, which is suitable for real-time realization in DSP-FGPA controller of matrix converter. It performs closed-loop control to track the output voltages vector in the fictitious inverter of the indirect space vector modulation. The parameters of the fuzzy controller are regulated online based on the detection and evaluation of the output performance. Simulations and experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed compensation technique in ameliorating the waveform quality of the output voltages.
