Abstract :
In this paper, new ways to boost performance of CAD software are suggested: decreasing simulations time, increasing accuracy and reliability, minimizing resource consumption. Considered problems facing modem CAD systems. Considered main quantitative characteristics of CAD systems. Emphasized problems of decreasing simulation time, obtaining results with specified accuracy, reliability, resource consumption. Suggested ways to improve each of the characteristics. Suggested ways of improving performance by employing parallel computation and diacoptics techniques
