Abstract :
The flux reversal machine (FRM) is a doubly-salient, stator-PM machine. In this paper, the control scheme for the FRM is, for the first time, presented and simulated. Encouraging simulation results are achieved. Two operation modes for the FRM are proposed. The pros and cons of each mode are exemplified and compared. The simulation shows that with proper control, the FRM delivers a good performance
