  • Abstract
    The mechanical parts are usually destroyed from the surface. So how to improve the surface quality is very important. One of the methods is chemical heat treatment. Among the process penetrating some special elements is a pre-processing technology. For the sake of different diffusion velocity the penetrated element has different concentration in different depth, namely, the element concentration is changed with the surface depth. Finding the relationship of the concentration and surface depth is a meaningful job which helps to improve the technology parameters and control the process automatically. People usually adopt many heat treatment experiments and use stripping chemical analysis method to measure the concentration in the different depth. The grey system is a partly known and a partly unknown system and we can use the grey theory to find the data law and predict the unknown data. It has widely used in different fields and have got great achievements. In the paper the authors firstly put the uncertain systems into the chemical heat treatment and establish the relationship of concentration and surface depth. The fitting data and predictive data are good. The model is fit for equal and unequal interval and is deserved to be used into other engineering problem.
