            Abstract : 
Multiband and multirate CLS (constrained least-squares) digital filters are considered along with optimal windows as special cases of CLS filters. Constrained least-squares filters are generalizations of minimax and least-squares filters. CLS filters are important not only because of their generality, but also because they are needed for many practical applications. Research on CLS filters is continuing for a wide variety of applications, including FIR (finite impulse response), IIR (infinite impulse response), multirate, and multidimensional cases
