Abstract :
A three-stage constant power Metal Halide Lamps ballast controlled by NXP LPC1114 is presented in the paper. The topology is analyzed in detail, and the improved low-bridge buck circuit is adopted which solves the MOSFET drive difficulty of high-bridge buck circuit. The Metal Halide Lamps constant power control is realized by controlling the buck input power precisely, which is easy-controlling and convenient-realizing, and the digital circuit and the program is designed meantime. The 70W electronic ballast sample designed performs outstandingly in every aspect in test.
