Abstract :
The application of the variable-structure (VSS) approach to the position control of an AC brushless servomotor is discussed. A DSP (digital signal processor) is used to make the time needed to calculate the control input as short as possible. An experimental system has been built and tested. Various experimental results are reported to show the validity of the method.<>
