  • Abstract
Discusses the application of high-performance computing (HPC) to the medical industry and advises of the existence of a national HPC resource that is located in the State of Hawaii, specifically on the island of Maul. I first discuss (from a definition perspective) what I mean by “HPC”, followed by a discussion of what the Maul High Performance Computer Center (MHPCC) is. Then, I discuss some initiatives that we´re supporting locally, as well as nationally, that have to do with medicine. I maintain that HPC is the key to ensuring advancement within the health care industry. MHPCC is a national HPC resource that is available to support those medical initiatives
