Abstract :
The completely digital control of high-dynamic-performance synchronous servodrives with permanent magnet disk rotors is considered. The hardware of the controller consists of 16-bit single-chip microcomputer including measurement value detection, set value output, and communication interfaces, and a MOSFET voltage-source inverter. Two types of position detectors are compared: the resolver and the incremental encoder. Several strategies for the control of three-phase synchronous servodrives by microcomputer without any analog feedback circuits are explained and compared. Results of the digital simulation and of the practical plant are given.<>
