Abstract :
A possibility to design the powerful source of femto-second wave packages (FWP) is analyzed. Characteristic feature of the system considered is the use of peculiar method of compression of wave packages within the interaction MTSFEL volume. It is shown that especially short packages (unites-tens femto-second) can be obtained provided the frequency of the first harmonic space charge wave (SCW) is much less than the optimal frequency of two-stream instability
