Abstract
Addresses the application of H ∞ methods to estimation and equalization problems. A design method for H ∞ filtering is described, and the performances of H ∞ filters and Wiener filters for demodulation and equalization examples are compared. The algorithm for synthesizing H ∞ filters and adaptation for discrete-time problems are described. The results of simulations are reconciled with the H ∞ optimality criterion
