Abstract :
The paper introduces a novel design idea of intelligent industrial Ethernet gateway, which is based on embedded micro-controller with a 32-bit ARM core (LPC2210). In this paper, it makes a detailed briefing on the CAN, USB and Ethernet interface hardware circuit design and real-time multi-tasks software process based on muC/OS-II. The intelligent Gateway solves data transmission between the instrumentation and Ethernet through existing computer networks; it also could achieve the remote access control for instrument, and provide a powerful data reference and analysis on the abnormal condition of the remote instruments. The application practice has proved that the intelligent gateway based on ARM is greatly worthy of use and spreading. This work is supported by Zhejiang Water Resource Department (NO. 2008C21132 ).
