Abstract :
The attenuation of beam of light passing through a suspension-containing cuvette is a convenient tool to measure the sedimentation rate. sedimentation rate. A photosedimentometer based on a KPhiK- 2M type photocolorimeter has been used for this purpose. A decrease in the sedimentation rate of butyral resin superfine solid particles in the water irradiated by mm-waves of ´below-heat´ intensity has been discovered. A decrease in the sedimentation rate may be presented as an increase in the effective water viscosity
