            Abstract :
Efficient computational techniques are developed to evaluate the 2D discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of real-valued sequences using the vector-radix approach. This method resulted in about a 50% savings of the corresponding complex computation. When the 2-D input sequence was centro symmetric or antisymmetric, applying a similar technique resulted in a savings of approximately 75% when compared with the complex nonsymmetric computation
