  • Abstract
    A single-column structure is presented so that an arbitrary N th-order filter can be realized with one delta-sigma modulator. It is expected that a VLSI implementation of this single-column structure should yield considerable savings in the monolithic area. A design methodology is provided for single-column filters and an example is given to illustrate the approach. Simulated noise results showing improved noise performance are also included
