Abstract
Multiple correlators are widely used for multipath mitigation and signal quality monitoring (SQM), which can dramatically increase the amount of computation. An efficient method for the applications which use multiple correlators has been developed. It calculates the difference of the correlation values instead of themselves directly. The code phase is used to simplify the computations for differential code and the tracking loop architecture is also modified to apply the new method. A comparison of the performance of the proposed method is made with the conventional approach. It is shown that the proposed one achieves a significant reduction in the computational load.
