Abstract :
The revolution in news gathering occasioned by development of the `flyaway terminal´ and small vans, trailers and lorries is reviewed. Differences (in size, weight and power consumption) from conventional FM TV without digitally compressed video are highlighted. A link budget for a 20 W system is presented
