Abstract :
A suite of computer programs has been developed and integrated to comprise a user-friendly thermal template. This design tool has been successfully employed to model the thermal behaviour, including stress and strain distributions, of printed circuit boards, pressed contacts, electrical rotating machines and thermally-insulated district-heating pipelines. The output is such that either graphical interpretations are readily presented, in 2D or 3D, or further statistical manipulation is easily initiated
