Experimental work to assist in planning a DAB single-frequency network

The authors discuss some recent experimental work on service planning aspects of DAB conducted by the BBC. The experiments were designed to measure the location variation at different frequencies, in different terrains, and with overlapping signals from different transmitters. Finally some computer predictions of the coverage obtained from a countrywide SFN are described which use some of the measured results
