Abstract :
The idea behind solving complex computational problems is devising the work in several subproblems which can be executed in parallel. This implies the existence of multiple resources and good techniques. Accessing multiple resources is no longer a problem nowadays - with the existence of performant computer networks. So the question remains how to manage these different resources and bring them together in solving complex jobs simply and efficiently. We propose a system which uses a local desktop grid in managing jobs and the Linda model for coordinating the parallel and distributed execution on different nodes.
