  • Abstract
New boundary integral equations called guided-mode extracted integral equations are applied to computer-aided design and simulations of a 2D near-field optical (NFO) circuit. The case of a scanning near-field optical microscope is considered in particular. Since new boundary integral equations can be solved rigorously by the conventional boundary-element method or moment method, it is suitable for the basic theory of CAD and simulation software for various NFO problems.
