Abstract :
An algorithm to estimate the DOA of coherent sources is proposed in this paper. Due to coherency the manifold matrix degenerates into a vector called the generalized steering vector. The generalized steering vector comprising all the DOA information is first estimated by means of blind estimation techniques, and then all the DOA are solved out by a spectral estimate method which is suitable for few sample data. Compared to the traditional spatial smoothing method the method of this paper is of higher performance, especially in resolution and anti-noise ability
