Abstract :
This paper presents a method of opening auxiliary slots on the stator core for the sake of weakening the negative-sequence current in permanent magnet synchronous wind (PMSW) generators. Some parameters and characteristics of the PMSW generator have been changed owing to auxiliary slots. The 2-D finite element method is adopted to calculate detailed parameters and depict curves. Finally, the analysis results of two kinds of stator types are compared with each other and the simulation results, in general, confirm the theoretical analysis.
