Abstract
As the electric power grid is becoming continually huge, complicated and smart, one of the most big problems is how to coordinate a large number of varied controllers. This paper introduces differential games theory as a new method to deal with it. The coordination between primary and secondary frequency control is taken for example: its differential game model is established and open-loop Nash equilibrium is solved. The simulation on a two area connected system shows that the proposed method can relieve the conflict between primary and secondary frequency control, and that the application of differential games theory in the field of power system coordinated control is feasible and resultful.
