Abstract :
This paper describes the development of a compact transportable diode laser absorption spectrometer using DFB diode. This technique can provide useful information on the properties of the gas at quite high repetition rate. Based on recent progress in DFB infrared diodes, we developed a compact transportable spectrometer with only air-Peltier cooling which can operate with several diodes simultaneously. Optical fibers are used to couple the laser beams to the area to be probed through a single pass or multi-pass configurations depending on the strengths of molecular absorption lines under consideration.
