Abstract :
In this study, multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were modified with mixed acid (H2SO4/HNO3) and subsequently functionalized with coupling agent, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). The silanization was performed for different time. All the modified CNT were examined by EDS, TEM and FTIR. Trough in-situ polymerization of polyimide to enhance the dispersion and compatibility of MWCNT with polyimide, we can improve the electrical conductivity and thermal properties of the PI/MWNT nanocomposites.
