  • Abstract
    Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) have higher efficiency and lower emissions compared with the internal combustion engine vehicles. But, the fuel cell has a slow dynamic response; therefore, an auxiliary power source is needed. Controlling this hybrid system has important role in its overall performance. In this paper the fuzzy controller has been employed for controlling power management of the hybrid system. The PLECS toolbox in simulink/MATLAB has been used for simulating the power electronics circuits more accurately. Also an accurate model for the fuel cell has been used. The result of the simulations shows that this method has a good dynamic response
