Abstract
The author seeks to elucidate the concerns of major users and to show the importance of user-centred design in relation to the future marketplace. Whilst awareness of advanced service offerings is high among multinational corporations and other large users, TUF has found (in the UK at least) that most medium sized companies currently have a low awareness of offerings such as virtual private networking (VPN). Communication with users should be a key element of service and product development to ensure future success
