Abstract :
The development of speed sensorless control method working in practice draws special attention in the research of motor driver. In this paper, a novel speed sensorless control strategy for PMSM based on MRAS and fuzzy control is presented. In the proposed strategy, a fuzzy controller is applied to control the PMSM driver in low speed considering the unsatisfying performance of MRAS based vector control induced by the variation of motor parameters. While in relative high speed, MRAS based vector control is brought into operation. Both of the fuzzy control and MRAS are easy and feasible to carry out in the microprocessor. Simulation results indicate that this novel strategy has reduced the complexity of the algorithm without deterioration of the performance of the control system.
