Abstract :
Linewidth-tolerant QPSK self-homodyne transmission has been demonstrated at 20 Gb/s using a polarization-multiplexed pilot carrier. No degradation in receiver sensitivity up to a linewidth of 30 MHz and error-free 160-km transmission were achieved.
