Abstract :
The TiO2 photonic crystal compact layer (TiO2 PhC CL) has been successfully prepared. The TiO2 PhC CL combined conventional compact layer and new photonic crystal as inverse opal, and it could both suppress electron recombination and increase light path at specific wavelength. The UV-visible spectra showed that the TiO2 PhC CL indeed reflect more visible light and these wavelength correspond to N719 dye´s specific absorption spectra. This CL would be applied to a back-illuminated dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC).
