Abstract :
To both professional and amateur divers, navigation underwater in reduced visibility, or in a current or tideway, can be a daunting business. The paper explores some of the options that are available for extending or improving the divers sensory envelope and navigational capability in such conditions, and presents some new equipment ideas that have evolved from the author´s work in this field
