  • Abstract
    The aim of the paper is to present the results of the tests performed in order to evaluate the performances of a fuzzy expert system developed for cardiovascular disease diagnosis. The tests were performed using clinical data that corresponds to 92 patients clinically investigated during 1998-1999 in order to establish the myocardial ischemia diagnosis. The system output was compared to three independent diagnoses given by physicians. For 85 patients, representing 92.39% of cases, the system diagnosis was correct
