Abstract :
This paper describes a computer simulator for cellular neural networks (CNN) of arbitrary planar topology. The simulator was of the user-friendly type permitting modeling of large scale of networks, having arbitrary dimensions, arbitrary inter-connections, arbitrary template values and arbitrary time constants. Some programmers´ tricks have been derived in order to improve the simulator´s speed. The simulator was tested over the 2D image processing problem, by removing the noise embedded into a 90×20 pixel image corrupted by the Gaussian noise
