Abstract :
The dynamics of a hybrid optical bistable wavelength conversion switch are investigated theoretically using a simple rate equation analysis. The dependence of high speed performance on the device structure is illustrated. The use of a multiquantum well (MQW) active region is shown to provide enhancement of high speed operation
