Abstract :
This paper presents a proximity fed patch antenna based on electromagnetic coupling. The proposed antenna has VSWR ≤ 2 for frequency band 4.7 GHz to 16.5 GHz. Investigations on the impedance and the radiation characteristic have also been carried out. The investigations show that the proposed antenna not only offers the enhanced impedance bandwidth but also possesses the same characteristic over the desired frequency band.
