Abstract :
Increases in clock frequencies, associated with higher density electronics are contributing to a general worsening of the EMC performance of many electronic systems. This is also driving designers to consider how EMC can be considered earlier in the design cycle. One method for achieving this is through the use of computational electromagnetics. This paper looks at how and where computational techniques can be employed in the design process and some of the associated benefits.
