Abstract
This presentation deals with the influence of ionising radiation on charge transport in polymeric films. A most important aspect of this phenomenon is the development of radiation resistant insulators with good electrical and mechanical properties for use in atomic and fusion power engineering. Other significant reasons for carrying out research on radiation effects in dielectrics are connected with space technology and high-ohmic passivation materials processing. In particular the connection between the different kinds of radiation damage and the mechanism of charge transport has received much of our attention
