Abstract
Field harmonics cause torque oscillations that are opposed to the demands on accuracy of the speed of a permanent magnet excited synchronous machine. Aim of this paper is to describe the compensation of the torque oscillations by current modulation. The required current shape functions are given. No restrictions are made to the inductances x d,x q and the currents i d, i q are made. The shape functions of the currents are derived from the machine´s real back emf. This method is verified by measurements
