Abstract :
The transient model of the double output asynchronous generator is linearized around the steady state operating point by applying a small signal perturbation technique and the small signal state space model for the study of the dynamic behaviour of this system at no load is deduced. Then, the stability regions are investigated. The study of the transient stability shows that the stability regions are influenced by disturbances of speed and of excitation frequency while they are insensitive to variations of RMS value of the excitation voltage and its power factor. The linear model presented is useful for the current and speed controllers design
