Abstract
The implementation of a 12-channel transmultiplexer using the Motorola DSP56001 is described. The transmultiplexer makes use of well-established algorithms for the realization of a uniform bank of bandpass filters. The system is software-based, with the advantage of reduced hardware complexity relative to previous implementations. By making use of a processing card suitable for wider applications, further advantages can be gained when considering low-volume applications of the transmultiplexer
