Abstract
A rigorous analytical technique for a novel low speed permanent magnet generator capable of generating mains frequency from a low rotational shaft input is discussed. The performance of such a generator relies on the presence of asymmetry on both the stator and rotor, on the selection of the permanent magnet, and on the rotor configuration that reduces the leakage and provides high field excitation
