An Open-Source Enabled Scheme for Improved Interactive Whiteboard

The idea of "a future classroom" and popularity of interactive whiteboards had dramatically changed teaching and learning. With the assistance of new technology, students may have additional and/or different experiences that a traditional classroom is not able to provide. In this study, we focus on the teacher\´s aspect and improve the whiteboard. We designed a scheme to integrate the related hardware and software to construct a convenient whiteboard system. This approach features open-source software and standards to provide flexible, portable, easy to use and inexpensive alternatives to interactive whiteboards (IWBs).
