Abstract :
The terms multimedia, interactive video, and hypermedia are often used synonymously in much of the literature. The purpose of this paper is to review and discuss several papers devoted to the subject of hypermedia as a learning environment. The Literature Review section presents three such papers. It is in the style of nonjudgmental but detailed reportage. Following that is the Discussion section. Here the papers are discussed individually but with some evaluations and judgments made. The discussion orientation has a definite leaning towards the educational perspective. However, technological considerations and criteria for research methodology and evaluation are included to some extent.
