Abstract :
Wind generation is now beginning to be connected to the public electricity network in England and Wales in significant quantity and it is expected that some 100 MW of capacity will be installed by the end of 1993. This is in response to the premium price offered under the Non Fossil Fuel Obligation (NFFO) which, at present, only extends until 1998. Although this paper concentrates on technical matters, some of the practical aspects, and certainly the speed at which connections were requested and provided have been dominated by this data when the premium price will end
