Abstract :
QPM-Zn:LN ridge waveguides are attractive devices because of their high conversion efficiency and strong resistance to photorefractive damage. Using such waveguide wavelength converters will reduce the lack of size and cost of laser systems. We are developing laser systems that can generate over 1-W visible light using waveguide wavelength converter for photocoagulation. In this paper, we report on over 1-W 580 nm light generation with QPM-Zn:LN ridge waveguide and its long-term output power stability.
