  • Abstract
    The current globalizing industry is highly desired for synchronous collaborative working environment to perform multi-sited and multi-user cooperation during complex product design among partners. This paper introduces a preliminary research work about Peer-to- Peer A based collaborative communication environment that attempts to support synchronous collaborative product design in the way of WYSIWIS (What You See Is What I see). A prototype with communication means of document co-sharing & editing, draft co-drawing, instant message is developed on the basis of JXTA developer platform.
