  • Abstract
Presents some modern applications of both electro-discharge machining (EDM) and electro-chemical machining (ECM) processes. These applications are indicative of the wide spectrum of these processes and their ability to be adapted to help achieve difficult demands. Four applications are discussed. The first two applications employ the EDM process whereas the third and fourth applications utilise ECM principles. For each application the specific problem which needs to be addressed is presented, the proposed system to achieve these requirements is described and some typical practical results are discussed
